At Grace Academy we strive to ensure our students have access to a balanced careers education. We offer impartial information and guidance on all aspects of careers. Helping student discover their skills and abilities while learning life skills in preparation for the 21st century career path.

 

Key Stage 3

Meet Business Alliance partners and discover the world of work. Business Alliance partners are carefully selected to ensure students are meeting with a varied range of employees of different industries.Understand what a career is and set goals for the future.

Speed Networking event for Year 7 students

Stem Enterprise Challenge for Year 8 students

Key Stage 3 students will take part in careers lessons as part of the PSHE programme enabling them to identify future career steps.

All year groups will identify what transferable life skills students have learnt over each year.

 

Key Stage 4

Meet and talk to professionals working in various sectors that come from academic and vocational backgrounds.

Key Stage 4 students will take part in careers lessons as part of the PSHE programme enabling them to identify future career steps

Experience taster workshops at various colleges and universities.

CV writing workshops and mock interviews.

Year 11 will attend one to one careers advice sessions including access to a wide variety of Post 16 options.

All year groups will identify what transferable life skills students have learnt over each year.

 

Post 16

Working alongside business partners gaining knowledge of the world of work and finances.Work experience week – Work experience is a great way to learn about the 21st century working environment and gives students the opportunity to put the transferable life skills they have gained to the test.

Experiencing taster workshops at various universities.

Apprenticeship and employability workshops.

Visiting careers and apprenticeship skills fayres.

UCAS application and personal statement writing support.
