Our Early Intervention Offer
At Grace Academy, we believe in identifying and addressing barriers to learning as early as possible to ensure every child has the best opportunity to thrive.
Our Early Intervention Offer provides timely support for pupils who may be experiencing difficulties with their social, emotional, or mental health behaviour, or wellbeing. This includes:
- SEMH Support: We offer targeted support for pupils experiencing emotional or mental health challenges. This may include 1:1 sessions, group interventions, and regular check-ins with trained staff.
- Behaviour Mentors: Our dedicated Behaviour Mentor and pastoral teams work closely with pupils to understand and address behaviour concerns through positive relationships, consistent routines, and personalised strategies.
- Ethos Team Support: Our Ethos Team plays a key role in promoting our school values and supporting pupils to engage positively with school life. They provide a range of interventions, family support, and work collaboratively with staff to meet the needs of every child.
- Families First: We have a dedicated Families First Lead in school who works closely with children and families to provide Early Help support at the earliest opportunity. This support can include help with parenting, emerging issues at home or at school, emotional wellbeing, or accessing local services. With consent, families can be referred into the Families First process and are fully involved in developing and reviewing a support plan tailored to their needs.
- Referrals to External Agencies: Where additional support is needed, we work in partnership with a range of external agencies, including counselling services, CAMHS, Educational Psychology, and local wellbeing teams, to ensure pupils and families receive the right help at the right time.
Our aim is to provide a nurturing, inclusive environment where all pupils feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.
